Associate Professor at Whitman College (WA).

Currently doing research in nonlinear dynamics in optical systems, and teaching methodologies.

I've  taught and done research at Eastern Washington University,
Carleton College (in nonlinear dynamics and chaos), Duke University (developing secure communication systems by using the properties of quantum mechanics), at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (studying the complex behavior of diode lasers with feedback, and characterizing the electrical properties of insulating polymers), and at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (in cosmological models).
